Why is dust control essential for laser and plasma cutting?
Both laser and plasma cutting machines use highly concentrated channels of energy to cut through a variety of materials including wood, some plastics, metal, fabrics, and rubber. Whilst some materials react well to laser and plasma cutting, others can smoke and burn, release sparks or gas, or produce toxic vapours. Laser and plasma cutting is a highly effective method of cutting a range of materials but must be practised safely, with adequate ventilation and protection put in place to control these hazards.
