23 MARCH 2023
integratedAIR is delighted to continue sponsoring Maurice in the next step of his driving career.
Following an excellent 2022 season in the Ginetta Junior championship, Maurice has joined Team HARD. Racing and has entered the British Endurance Championship (BEC) in a driver pairing. The 2023 season brings a significant step up in developing Maurice's skill set due to the increase in track time per race weekend, from 20-minute sprints to 1-hour stints. The races are more about consistency and getting to grips with the technical parts of driving that come with racing, such as pit stops and tire wear. Maurice Henry is in a pair with Daryl DeLeon, who he knows well as they grew up carting together. They will be driving an Audi S3 BTCC car, a brilliant step up from last year's car, ensuring great practice for Maurice's professional career.
Maurice is also part of the team's official BTCC development programme, which involves the opportunity to drive the Cupra Leon, stepping in for touring car drivers at track events when they are not available and around the BTCC driver duties on BTCC race weekends.
"I am so excited to announce our confirmed 2023 plans." Maurice expresses his thoughts for the season, "I am really positive; it's great to have this opportunity from Team HARD. Racing. I am excited for the change and challenge of learning new skills to learn and harness. It's more about consistency and getting to grips with the tactics involved in longer race stints making the racing more intense and professional. Being able to drive this race allows me so much seat time, which gets me one step closer to reaching my goal of being a British touring car driver."
integratedAIR has taken great pleasure in being a part of Maurice's journey so far, with all members of the Team routing for him and have enjoyed watching the iAIR car on the tracks! This seasons races are streaming live on BARC YouTube channel (and of course available for catch up), so make sure you tune in to watch the action!
Maurice goes on to say, "I want to thank everyone at integratedAIR for making this possible, especially Graham. Your help has given us the notice that we need to take this to the next step, and I can't wait to get started. The BEC is a tough championship; we're ready to take on the challenge. The car will be a beast and I can't wait to drive it!"
The 2023 British Endurance Championship will kick off on Saturday 25th March at the home of British Motorsport, Silverstone.
